Client-Side Hashing

All hash generation and hash comparison happens client-side in your browser. Text you type, files you select, generated hashes, and comparison values are processed locally on your device and are not sent to a Hash Generator server.

Because the tool runs locally in your browser, you should still avoid entering sensitive information unless you understand the risks of displaying or storing that information on your own device.

Information We Store Locally

Hash Generator may use your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference and hash history. This information stays in your browser on your device unless you clear it, use browser settings that sync storage, or otherwise export it yourself.

You can clear locally stored site data through your browser settings or by using controls provided in the tool where available.

Server Logs and Analytics

Hash Generator does not require user accounts and does not intentionally collect the text, files, or hash values you process. Standard hosting infrastructure may receive basic technical request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps, when pages and assets are loaded.
